SQC Philosophy
In 1987 Smurfit-MBI introduced a major company-wide quality improvement
program called Total Involvement Process or "TIP". Through
TIP, all Smurfit-MBI employees would commit to a philosophy of continuous
improvement to quality and service.
The next step in the Total Involvement Process was "SQC",
short for Service Quality Creativity. Introduced in 1990, the SQC
philosophy recognizes that it is our customers who determine our
future. Every day, all employees work together, striving for excellence
in the pursuit of meeting or exceeding customer expectations:
fulfilling expectations for SERVICE
by staying close to each customer.
fulfilling expectations for QUALITY
by consistently "doing it right the first time".
responding with ingenuity and CREATIVITY
as customer requirements change and evolve.
